In the current version impersonation is already implemented. The saving of the new ListItem runs with elevated priviliges, which means it has full control rights.

After the item is created the user will be redirected to the Submit button url that you can set in the properties of the webpart. Perhaps this is set to a page that the user hasn't access to?

Or do the users get the access denied message directly when browsing to the page the SFG webpart is on? If that's the case did you try to remove the webpart and check if they still get the access denied error?

How do i set impersination?

I have some ppl that arent allowed acces to the list ive connected to your webpart. And when they go to the page of your webpart, i get a sharepoint access denied message, while they do have high enough access rights on the page your webpart is on.

Can you please help me with this... it must be a setting im missing..

hi all ,

i have WSS 3.0 with windows 2003 server.

i have follow following steps to install this webpart:-

1 ) Execute the setup.exe on the target server and successfully completed

2 ) activate the feature.

but there is no such webpart found on the "add web part page".

is there anything configuration related problem ???

Created Issue: "File Not Found" when "Design your form" [5451]

Hi,
I've just started with a small POC using this Form Generator. When clicking on "Design your form" i receive an exception.

The callstack suggests it is unable to create SPSite object. Probably this part of the code:

date time field always sets to todays date on load and even if you change the date and submit, the date time field is always set to todays date. Basically if you have any date time field this web part wont work for you, please correct me if I am wrong

First wow great web part! this is really going to improve the ease of how users interact with lists!

one thing that would make it amazing would be if it could auto generate fields, for example if i have a purchase order system and one colum is called order numbers so data in the coloum is number which the number increases by one with every new entry, is it possible to have that auto genertate by 1 in the form field?

Created Issue: Workflow enabled on list not started when new item created from the webpart

I have a workflow setup for the list whenever a new item is added it should get triggered.
The workflow works fine when item is created using the New button for the list. However when item is created from the form generator webpart - the workflow is not triggered.

I think adding this is an feature will make the webpart very useful.

First of Thank you for this great webpart.

I would like to request you to add a support to select the content type which we want to generate the form for.
Right now all the fields of the selected list are shown in the webpart.

I see a :design your form" link for the web-part. If this will take care of my request, please ignore.

Hi,

I found two problems.

1- I have a list with two Regex field in it. When using Form Generator on the intranet website (AD authentication), everything is ok. When using Form Generator on the extended web app (public access), I'm getting the regex validation error on the second regex field even with appropriate entry. After the error, I'm typing again the same text and submit again, no problem.

2- After scenario number 1 above, I'm receiving "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error.

Hi,

I found two problem with choice field column.

1- When having a choice field with "Display as DropDown menu" option and NO default value, the form generator shows this field with the first value selected. I notice that there is no NONE value in Form Generator in this case. With the same list, the NewForm.aspx shows no selection for this field (Blank value).

2- When having a choice field with "Checkboxes (allow multiple selections)" option, default value and 7 differents choice value entered, the form generator shows this field with the first three checkbox checked. With the same list, the NewForm.aspx shows no checked at all for this field.

Thanks for the regex validator.

Did you check for the content type column shown in Form generator webpart? I noticed that in your screen shot example, there is no content type column shown. Is it because you create column directly in the list (not using content type)?

It would be nice if the form generator would use the exact column order of the content type to display the columns.
